After graduating from Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh, with a BEng degree in Computing and Electronics, I joined EPCC as an applications consultant in April 2002.
Mr James Perry
Software Architect

I have since worked on a variety of different projects, and my particular areas of interest include accelerator technologies, embedded systems and code optimisation. I am currently working on the NeSS (Next Generation Sound Synthesis) and APOS (Application Performance Optimisation and Scalability) projects, as well as contributing to the MSc in High Performance Computing.
In my spare time I enjoy playing music (mainly piano and keyboards), walking, and folk dancing.
