Join the HPC Outreach Scavenger Hunt at SC24!
29 October 2024
Excited about SC24? Don’t miss the HPC Outreach Scavenger Hunt, a fun and interactive way to explore exciting outreach activities from the HPC community.
High performance computing (HPC) plays a vital role in solving complex challenges, but many people rarely encounter it in their daily lives. That’s why effective outreach is essential to spark interest, communicate complex ideas, and showcase the power of supercomputing. Through this HPC-themed Scavenger Hunt, we hope you’ll be inspired to find new ways to engage with your own community and bring HPC to a wider audience.
The Hunt will lead you to participating booths to discover how HPC centres are using creative, hands-on activities to inspire and engage new audiences. Each time you undertake an activity, you’ll earn a sticker. Collect all stickers to be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a Raspberry Pi!
This year the line-up of activities and resources includes comic books, AI digital twins, an interactive wordle game, virtual emulator, and EPCC’s Wee Archie – a miniature supercomputer made of Raspberry Pis!
Kick off your journey by visiting the EPCC booth (Booth 1101) to learn more and pick up your first sticker.
Get involved, learn something new, and you might even walk away with a prize!
